, Christmas starts on 1 December. Mozart, Strauss, Verdi, Bizet with his Carmen and a host of other great classical composers will be present through their works on an unforgettable journey to be staged by ELEPAP at the Onassis Cultural Centre.
A Christmas Opera Gala just a few days before Christmas really arrives for all the children ELEPAP has been supporting with its work over the last 77 years.
Even if you can’t open yours arms wide enough to hug more than 1.500 children with disabilities, you can certainly book a seat for an evening of masterful duets, solos and Christmas melodies from the world’s most celebrated scores.
The concert will feature the NERIT National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Anastasios Symeonidis, the mezzo-soprano Irini Karaianni, the soprano Vassiliki Karayanni, the baritone Charis Andrianos and the tenor Vassilis Kavayas from the Greek National Opera, and ballet soloists from the Greek National Opera ballet who will dance some of the best-known Viennese waltzes in the form of duets choreographed by their director, Renato Zanella.
If ELEPAP can bring Christmas to the Onassis Cultural Centre on 1 December with a Christmas Opera Gala, you can ensure its 1.500 children enjoy another beautiful festive season this year.
All the proceeds from the concert will help support ELEPAP’s children with disabilities by covering the cost of 2.500 physiotherapy programmes.
