Book presentation: The Greek crisis captured in poetry
A presentation of "Futures: Poetry of the Greek Crisis", a poetry anthology by Theodoros Chiotis on 18 February 2016.
The new poetry anthology Futures: Poetry of the Greek Crisis responds to the social and economic disaster that has shaken the European experiment to its foundations. It records the pulse of Greece today.
Following on from presentations made in Oxford on November 12 and at the Free World Centre on 13 November 2015, Futures: Poetry of the Greek Crisis will be presented at the OCC on 18 February 2016. The main speakers will be Theodoros Chiotis and Dimitris Papanikolaou, academic consultant to the Cavafy Archive, Associate Professor of Modern Greek Literature, Culture Studies and Gender Studies at the University of Oxford and Fellow of St. Cross College. The discussion will be chaired by the journalist and literary critic, Tina Mandilara. The presentation will also feature readings from the anthology by well-known Greek poets.
