For the attendees of the concert and for anyone who is interested in Jaimeo Brown’s music
A workshop-dialogue with the artist about history, art and technology.
New York-based composer, percussionist, academic and activist Jaimeo Brown holds a discussion with the attendees of his concert and with anyone who is interested in his music. Through their questions, the participants create a dialogue with the artist, in order to examine the constitutive themes of his concert: history, art and technology.
Brown has collaborated with major musicians, such as Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Carl Craig and Kenny Garrett. Influenced by Alabama’s spirituals, he brings into contact the early African-American tradition with contemporary trends and digital art. A PhD graduate of Rutgers University, Brown gives each year numerous concerts and lectures, exploring music as a source of social inspiration.
The attendees of the concert and to anyone who is interested in Jaimeo Brown’s music.
Entrance is free and on a first come, first served basis.
The workshop will be held in English.
