Introduction

Think you know nothing about contemporary dance? That you’d fall flat on your face if you had to walk across the stage? Then you’re just what we are looking for. Because in “Dancing to Connect” we’re not looking for talented dancers—what we want are daring teenagers who want to express themselves.

Connect with 200 teens
Connecting Athens with Kozani

For the 7th year in a row, dance will be invading the schoolrooms and carrying us away. Teens who think they know nothing about dance will quickly change their minds after the first rehearsal. Because dancing is about discovering that you can communicate with others without words, about transcending your limitations.

Professional dancers visit schools to share their knowledge and help students to express themselves through movement. All the students have to do is put on a tracksuit and share their high spirits and creativity. Can you feel the passion and the energy?

“Dancing to Connect” is the brainchild of New York's Battery Dance Company, whose motto is this: a choreography may be all it takes to get people communicating honestly and to do away with prejudice and bullying.

So, let’s enjoy some great teenagers setting the stage alight with their electrifying energy.
