A creative force on the Greek cultural scene for two decades now, the Orchestra of Colours’ original programming and willingness to look beyond the boundaries of the conventional repertoire have endowed the ensemble with its own unique signature. Its organizational flexibility, outstanding musicians and policy of rehearsing as much as each new programme requires have consistently guaranteed superlative artistic result.
The Onassis Foundation has been the Orchestra of Colours’ main sponsor since 2005.

This relationship became even closer following the creation of the Onassis Cultural Centre, and the Orchestra was a fixture in the Centre’s first season of musical events.
The Onassis Cultural Centre and the Orchestra of Colours share a common goal: supporting and promoting up-and-coming Greek musicians and composers. It was with this in mind that the Centre undertook to showcase the country’s teenage soloists in an event which we hope will become a yearly institution.

In this concert, young people aged 8 to 18 will perform the solo parts in concertos from the classical and romantic repertoire.
